How to Stand & Walk Correctly — After Passing Anklebone Alignment test
Once your tilted anklebones are realigned w/ Feet Balance Orthotics, your body can finally stand & walk correctly in the way it was designed to — but it also requires some retraining.
First, we need to understand how the foot is designed to handle weight — several times of our body weight.
Foot Arch can be divided by 2 parts: High Medial arch & Low Lateral arch
High medial arch is designed to handle 3 times more weight than the low lateral arch. High medial arch made up w/ 8 bones that include anklebone while low lateral arch is made up w/ 4 bones that include heel bone, & under the high medial arch is 5 times thicker muscles that works as cushion than under the low lateral arch. And the leg bone stands on the anklebone. so, we need to put the body weight on the high medial arch.
How to Stand Correctly
Stand w/ your body weight to fall straight down on the Anklebone. You can do that by standing w/ feet shoulder apart & pulling knees slight together. Then our feet can handle the weight comfortably & this prevents strain on the major joints above — including knees, hips, and back.
How to Walk Correctly
Transferring your weight through the high medial arch as you take a step. When making a step, bend your knee toward your 1st and 2nd toes. This transfers your body weight through the high medial arch, & this prevents strain on the major joints by using the thick muscles for cushioning.
Retraining old habit
If you have been compensating for years by putting the body weight on the low lateral arch (to minimize the high medial arch to fall), it takes time to change the old habit. However, good thing is while using the Feet Balance Orthotics you keep walking on the low lateral arch, your body will send out signal either w/ foot or major joint pain or leg muscles tendonitis, as your shoe bottoms tilt laterally. Then all you need to do is to level the shoe bottoms & keep train yourself to walk correctly by passing your body weight through the medial arch.
Then your feet & major joints move smoother, more efficient, & pain-free.
